Meet the Governors
Our Governors help our school run effectively, they help shape the overall purpose, ethos and strategic direction of the school.
They are responsible for making some of the biggest decisions within our school. They do this through 3 core functions:
- Planning the strategic direction of the school
- Over see the financial performance of the school and ensure that public money is well spent
- Hold the Principal to account
Hovingham’s Governors meet up to around 6 times a year and checks evidence of if the school is on track with its one year plan.
You can read the Governor's report of effectiveness for academic year 2023-2024.
