I taught history and PE in the secondary sector before becoming an adviser to Kirklees Council, and then to both the Department of Health and to the Department for Education. I have written a few books and many articles about education. I think education is the most important thing in the world (apart, obviously, from cricket) and Hovingham Primary has begun a really exciting journey to break new ground, change the face of Harehills and massively increase the opportunities of the young people who live here.
